At our 13th hike to maintain (2015-16) from Exo Vouni to Ormos Korthiou

Thirteen (13) people, 11 adults and 2 children have participated at our 13th hike to maintain the paths of Andros for the period 2015-16 at Korthi area.  We have gathered from several parts of the island (Mermigies, Pisolimionas, Ano Gavrio, Batsi, Aprovatou, Chora and Katakalei) and met at the main road from Chora to Korthi at Exo Vouni entrance. The day was quite hot although windy.

During this hike we had the chance to pass through the well kept and picturesque villaes of Exo and Mesa Vouni, Giannisaio, Lardia and Rogo making short breaks at the springs of each village to finally end up at Ormos Korthiou.

The route was on a quite good condition as part of it have been cleared from our workers. During our hike we have mostly cleared overgrown vegetation at the sides of the path, added some way marks and pictograms leading to springs not visible from the main route and we have gathered some garbage.

The day was completed with a nice swim at Agia Aikaterini.
