Maintenance hike from Remata-Lefka beach-Ateni beach!

Despite the problems caused by the strike in shipping, a small group of hikers came together on Sunday, December 11, 2016. The eleven eager hikers coming from various areas of the island and mostly from the NW (Gavrio, Aprovato, Kypri), started the hike from the Vagelistria church in Remata following route 13. Due to the problems in some areas of the hike because of fallen rocks or ground erosion following fires, safer detours were created wherever it was possible by cutting and removing branches, shrubbery etc.
