Since the weather was completely unpredictable this weekend we decided early on Sunday morning to give it a try and start the 16th maintenance hike for this year. We walked with 7 people mostly from the Northern part of Andros on the beautiful circular route Tr1, starting from Tromarchia Monastery, walking a while towards South, then heading East till we met Andros Route no.4 and returning West to the monastery.

The path was in a quite good condition and we only had to add a few way markings and cut back branches on the part leading from the asphalt road towards no. 4. Together with the light work we enjoyed season fruits and gathered a whole bag of mushrooms!

And although we could see the black rain clouds passing over the island for hours we had the most beautiful weather and the rain hit us only for 5 minutes on the last kilometer.

We then finished a relaxed hiking day with a delicious meal in Batsi.
