On Saturday June 13th we walk the route Ag. Nikolaos – Achla beach

Our route begins at the Monastery of Saint Nicholas and follows a spectacular path alongside the Achla River, the largest river on Andros in terms of water flow. The trail leads to Achla Beach and the area’s important wetland, where we will have free time for swimming and relaxation. Afterward, we will hike back along the same trail for approximately 30 minutes to visit a traditional country house, where we will sample local delicacies and flavors. The return to the starting point will be made by private vehicles, completing a truly unique experience.

Difficulty level: medium – difficult

Distance: 5,9 km

With our steps, we are helping to keep the path open! Along the way, we will also cut back any vegetation that has grown back to block the path and clear any garbage.
