People from all over the world who walk the Andros routes send us their impressions and warm words. Texts like the one below are the most meaningful reward for us and for the effort of fifteen years of Andros Routes. We thank them warmly and hope that we will have the strength and the human capacity to continue our challenging work!

«Hiking on Andros for the first time takes time. Not because it is difficult to find the trail – on the contrary, the trails are very well marked with beautiful little signs showing places, directions, distances – but it takes time because there is so much to see. The trails meander across meadows, along stone walls, through forests, and along a ridge. And everywhere views and expanses, mountains and glimpses of the sea. And something happens with the experience of time. It is impossible to be anywhere else but right here and right now – and the walk becomes meditation in motion.

We hiked between and around Gavrio, Batsi, Arni, Katakalei, Vourkoti & Chora. I don’t known the distances/kilometers… but the hiking routes are 15, 16, 11, 12, 2, 17, 17b, 18.

To the Route Angels and to those responsible for Andros Routes: From our first contact, you have been welcoming and advisory, professional and kind. You have created something unique and we are grateful for your work with sustainable hiking tourism on Andros and your passion for this island which we have come to love.
