When care overcomes indifference
A few days ago we published photos from route No. 15, where one of our volunteers discovered that some people had dumped dozens of bags of rubble. (see the post here:

⏱ After days of consultation and until all the necessary resources were secured, the rubble was collected and taken for recycling from the point where it had been illegally dumped.
🫶 We warmly thank Dimitris Petsas, who from the very beginning offered to provide a bin for collection and a vehicle for transportation to the Recycling Center he maintains.
We also thank the Deputy Mayor of Ydroussa Andreas Vossos, Tasoula Mamai from the Community of Gavrio, Fratzescos Athanasiou and the cleaning workers of the Community of Gavrio.
🙂 We know that “bad news” often gets more attention. But we, the volunteers of the Andros Routes, prefer to share “good news”, the kind that shows that care, cooperation and love for the place can make a difference.
👉 Let’s not forget that the walking routes are a legacy from previous generations and must be handed down to the next.
