It was with great pleasure that we participated in the great European action Mountain Games Cyprus 2026, organized by the MountMed Institute from September 23 to 26, 2026, as part of the 12th European Week of Sports!

The Andros Research Center, with the Andros Routes project, gave a dynamic “presence” in the Troodos mountain range, joining forces with international organizations with a common vision of the sustainable development of mountainous areas, the promotion of hiking routes as infrastructure for exercise, sports, health and quality of life, in combination with cultural heritage and gastronomy, and with a vision of preserving the environment. 🌿

During the four days, we had the opportunity to participate in:
• 🔬 International Scientific Symposia on health and active life in the mountains.
• 🥾 Environmental and sports activities on the trails and communities of Troodos (Platres, Agros, Omodos).
• 🍇 Workshops on local gastronomy and the promotion of mountain agri-food products.
We brought the experience of Andros, exchanged best practices and return with fresh ideas and contacts, which we hope will strengthen our work for the nature, culture and local society of our island! 🤝島
• 🔬 In a know-how transfer seminar as trainers of the European Hiking Federation
