Although it was quite cold 18 people participated on our 6th hike to maintain the paths of Andros on Sunday the 24th of January 2016. Our participants came from Fellos, Gavrio, Ano Gavrio, Batsi, Aprovatou, Chora, Stenies&Kochylou. The faithful friends of the paths of Andros started its course from the tower of AgiosPetros crossing the beautiful AgiosPetros village and ascending towards the lovely square, the spring and church. Ascendingabitmoretillasmallridge, theroutewascontinueddescending towards the Monastery of ZoodohosPigi (Agias Monastery) and then for a while along the quiet road. The route was continued along the pretty walled path passing by wooded locations and enjoying gorgeous views of the west coastline and the bays of Kypri and Batsi. Asusualthevolunteersgatheredgarbage, especially close to the villages and removed overgrown vegetation and branches blocking the path.
The beautiful day was completed with a lovely lunch in Gavrio.
